Interaction with Artificial Characters through Gestures and Poses

چکیده
In existing applications that include artificial characters, the interaction with the character is not natural. Interaction is achieved with physical instruments that are natural to use. To make artificial characters to be believed alive one needs to give an artificial character its own personality, emotions and self-motivation. In this paper an existing architecture, TOK, is described that supports this believability. This architecture is expanded this in such a way that more interesting and natural interaction is possible. This new system enables a user to interact with a virtual character through gestures and poses.
